On Wednesday, 1 February 2017, Nermina Simončič, representative of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., will participate in the Slovenian Forum for Social Entrepreneurship’s Big Meetup.
2016 will be remembered for the biggest growth in the number of registered social enterprises, with 300% more registered today than the year before. This is also a good start for all social enterprises and those who want to become social enterprises to come together to form a real strong national association that will be a strong supportive environment for social enterprises, as well as representing the views of social economy stakeholders in communication with national and local authorities and with related organisations at the level of European countries and the EU.
We invite interested individuals and organisations in the social economy sector to the Meetup, in particular NEWLY FOUNDED SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS who want to co-create a common social entrepreneurship pathway, to collaborate with other social enterprises in the design of products and services, as well as in sales and marketing, and to create an initial market for their products. In this way, we will create a collaborative platform, an environment in which we aim to support social enterprises in the future through networking, knowledge transfer and mentoring activities, both by experienced social entrepreneurs and by conventional entrepreneurs who can help us to best overcome market challenges with their knowledge and experience.
You will also hear the MOST IMPORTANT NEWS FROM SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP that you need to grow your business, from fundraising to cutting-edge entrepreneurial support. But the main part is for you, the actors on the ground, to get to KNOW EACH OTHER AND TOGETHER TO CREATE AN ASSOCIATION OF OUR OWN SIZE. The meeting is therefore also an opportunity to increase the membership of the association, as mutual support will enable us to better achieve our objectives. If you want to become a member and share your experience, knowledge, ideas and seek ways to work together, you will be able to join at the meeting itself, where you will also receive a membership form.
The Forum will take place at the premises of the TOTI DCA Association, at 34 Gorkega Street, Maribor.
